I would like to inspire and grow my ability to influence as many people as possible into living an active, healthy lifestyle. Whether that be coaching athletes to reach their full potential or educating those who are only beginning their lifestyle journey.
As an athlete, I continually strive to better myself.
Short term, I would like to win a few medals and the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships in December this year as it is my last year as a junior.
Long term, my goals are to keep getting more competitive in the open age group for powerlifting, gain experience on the international platform and of course, remain healthy and injury free.
When I’m not at work making my way through the graduate programme at Fonterra, I’m generally hanging out at the gym - training, socialising or coaching. I love being part of an environment that is so welcoming and motivating.
I grew up playing almost every sport imaginable but only truly found my passion for lifting weights toward the end of my university studies.
I was introduced to Powerlifting through doing CrossFit. However,I still continue to use CrossFit to prepare for my Powerlifting competitions as I love the variety and intensity within the training.
